Summary

The MTEB benchmark, which compares how well different text-embedding models perform across a wide range of tasks, publishes its results as versioned JSON files at a fixed Hugging Face dataset URL. This gives the system a stable, machine-readable source of ground-truth performance data it can pull, track across versions, and use to reason about which models are improving or regressing over time.
