compact-summary-hiding-requires-in
IN premise
A summary node only hides its covered nodes when the summary itself is IN; if the summary goes OUT, covered nodes reappear in the compact output.
Summary
When a summary is retracted or loses its justification, the individual items it was summarizing automatically become visible again in the compact view. This prevents information from silently disappearing — if the summary stops being believed, the system falls back to showing the original detail nodes so nothing is hidden without justification.
Dependents
These beliefs depend on this one:
- compact-budget-controls-output-size — The compact module's token budget reliably constrains total output size
